Fine Field Pottery creates functional, affordable, and artistic pieces of stoneware pottery. Each piece is handmade, glazed, and fired in the FFP Studio. Stoneware pottery lasts for generations if treated right and is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
Custom orders are welcomed and we strive to make whatever you can imagine. Since we are continually making new pieces and selling them we do not always have the exact piece you are looking to purchase. Because of that it offers you the chance to buy pottery that is unique to you. All our pieces are glazed in a base color called “Nutmeg.” From there we overlay colors to highlight the piece. See our glaze page for options. If you do not see what you like, contact us and we can see what can be done to create your unique piece. Custom orders can take between 4-6 weeks to be completed.
When local Streator Illinois clay is at hand and we can make special pieces that will remind anyone of the Illinois prairie. Local clay is brown when fired to stoneware temperatures. Often the glaze used is nutmeg with very little else to highlight the local clay. If you would like to see pictures, please email us for options.
We do custom orders as wedding gifts, birthday presents, Mother’s Day, corporate gifts and also gift certificates if you are not sure what exactly someone might like. Gifts can be dated and even named, see “Name Plates” on page Stoneware 2.
